New Delhi, Agencies: After a woman cyclist recently accused her coach of inappropriate behavior, now a national level woman sailor has accused the coach of the team of making her feel uncomfortable during her trip to Germany.
According to the source, the complainant approached the Yachting Federation of India (YAI) several times in the matter but when they did not get any response, they sought the intervention of the Sports Authority of India (SAI). SAI has sought a report from the federation, asking whether the sailor had contacted them earlier, and if so, why the matter was not taken seriously.
On receipt of complaint SAI has asked for a report from the federation seeking clarification on when & how many times the athlete had complained to the federation & why no response was extended to her. SAI has sought this report from Federation by end of the day today: SAI

Sai said a complaint has been received from a female sailor that a coach was making her feel uncomfortable during her tour of Germany. The sailor claimed that he had approached the federation earlier in the matter, but after getting no response, he approached SAI. A report has been sought from the Yachting Federation of India on the matter. The camp was proposed and organized by YAI and funded by SAI through ACTC.
The coach whom the player alleged was appointed by the federation and was included in the squad as per their proposal. Sai has also contacted the athlete, who claimed that mental pressure was being created by the coach during practice. However, the sailor did not mention any sexual harassment by the coach. The coach in question is a three-time Olympian and coach of the Indian Navy team.
