At least 40 people were injured when a passenger plane skidded off the runway and caught fire during take-off at an airport in southwest China's Chongqing on Thursday. Video footage posted by China Central Television (CCTV) showed flames and black smoke billowing from the fuselage of a Tibet Airlines plane at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post reported. People can be seen fleeing the plane after escaping through an evacuation slide at the back door.
