Concerning forthcoming series, West Indies skipper, Nicholas Pooran has said that "We are a youthful group and will attempt to restore the brand of cricket that West Indies play." He further added, "since I assumed control over the obligation of this group, my main objective has forever been to be serious as we need to involve this series to work on our arrangements for the impending T20 and 50-over World Cup. "
Opportunity for India before World Cup
The Indian group will be able to play 15 T20 matches before the T20 World Cup. In this sense, in this series against West Indies, the group will get an opportunity to fortify their arrangements so they can chip away at their weaknesses and enter the field with an ideal group in the World Cup.
