About Zaheer's contribution to his game, Tilak says, “He keeps telling us to be aware of our rounding in every match. Every team is different, bowlers are different, strategy is different and pitch is also different. Even if we play in the same ground, the atmosphere may be different on the second day. That's why he advises us to adapt to the situation. If you adapt to the situation, it becomes easier to navigate that situation. You don't need to think too much, you will automatically come up with ideas on how to handle it."
Off the field, Tilak has a close friendship with Dewald Brevis. Regarding this, Tilak says, “We are close outside the field as well. Since we are of similar age, we mingled quickly. He is often in my room, whenever we go somewhere, we go together. We are so close now that we understand each other well on and off the field. In such a situation, it has become very easy to bat with him in the match. The understanding is great, and we can go to each other and tell each other if something is going wrong. It makes the situation very easy in a match. And when you are doing well on the field, the relationship automatically gets stronger off the field as well.”
The challenges on the field are similar to those faced by every franchise in the IPL. However, the off-field environment remains excellent, setting the stage and direction for a bright future.
