Playing against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, this player scored 100 years while playing a solid innings. In his 100th IPL match, he changed the historical backdrop of the competition by scoring a hundred years. On account of this solid inning of the commander, Lucknow scored a score of 199 runs for 4 wickets.
Lucknow chief Rahul played a splendid century against Mumbai at the Brabourne Stadium. He turned into the second batsman to score a hundred years in IPL season 15. The primary century was scored by Jos Buttler of Rajasthan against Mumbai itself. This is Rahul's third century in IPL history. Prior, he had scored hundreds of years in 2019 and 2020.
Rahul finished his fifty out of 33 balls in which he hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. It was his seventh more than fifty in the last 10 innings that fell off his bat against Mumbai. Rahul's bat didn't stop here and scored a hundred years in 56 balls, scoring 9 fours and 5 sixes. He played an innings of 103 runs off 60 balls and returned unbeaten.
Rahul created history, broke Sachin and Sehwag's record
Rahul has become the first batsman in IPL history to score a century in the 100th IPL match. No player has done this feat till now. Rahul broke Du Plessis' record by scoring the highest score in his 100th IPL. The most elevated score in the 100th match was kept for the sake of Faf du Plessis, who scored 87 runs. Rahul has now scored two centuries as commander and has overwhelmed Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in doing as such. Both had a century each in their possession.
