Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the WHO Global Center for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar, Gujarat, saying that this center will open the door to the era of traditional medicine in the world and will put traditional medicine on the world map in the next 25 years. This center will not only work for the treatment of serious diseases, but will also strive towards increasing the use of innovation and technology in traditional medicine.


Today, many pathologies ranging from Naturopathy are available for treatment, but the lack of scientific basis is seen in favor of most. In fact, many methods of traditional treatment all over the world not only exist today, but are also being used. Conventional mending techniques, otherwise called integral or elective medication, have been rehearsed since days of yore in Southeast Asia. These frameworks of medication began in India (Ayurveda), China (natural medication, needle therapy, back rub, exercise) and Greece-Persia (Greek). Alongside homeopathy, they are as yet utilized all around this present reality.


In the Corona era, we have seen the power of medical systems like Ayurveda. This played a big role in saving India from corona infection. For this reason, despite having a large population compared to other countries, the deaths were less here. About 80 percent of people in developing countries and about 20 percent of people in Western countries are believed to use traditional medicine for chronic, chronic diseases. However, this rich and safe medical system of India is suffering the pain of neglect. As soon as the country became independent, in the name of medical system, we became completely dependent on allopathy i.e. English medicine. Whereas in front of the freedom struggle, the warrior Mahatma Gandhi remained in opposition to the English system of medicine throughout his life.


In the book Hind Swaraj, he has thrown light on this subject in detail. Even after independence, Indian medicine Ayurveda was not given anything in the name of budget. As an exception, Kerala took over Ayurveda. Today the whole world comes there in the name of Panchakarma.
