EPFO has started a pilot project named Vishwas in Ludhiana. Under this, the employees of the private sector will start getting pension immediately after their retirement. The office will make its arrangements in advance.

For this, the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has begun a pilot project 'Vishvas' in Ludhiana on Friday.

Under the task, a unique group has been shaped at the territorial office situated in Ludhiana. This group will finish the archives of the workers two months before the retirement, because of which they will be given a benefits authentication on retirement.

Benefits declarations were given to 91 workers of 54 foundations

On Friday, 91 workers of 54 foundations resigning in April were given benefits testaments. Of these, seven have picked conceded benefits choice, while 84 have decided on annuity. After it is fruitful, it will be begun in different states too.

Extra Central Commissioner (ACC) of EPFO Kumar Rohit said that the foundations should make settlement ahead of time of Provident Fund (PF) for the period of retirement. Benefits claims must be recorded in the PF office alongside the necessary reports. Workers resigning before fifteenth of the month should record ECR (Electronic Challan cum Return).

Progressive change from 'prayaas' to 'conviction'

During this, Additional Central Commissioner (ACC) of EPFO Kumar Rohit expressed that there is a progressive change in the methodology from 'Prayas' to 'Vishwas' on Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi.

Pilot project began in Ludhiana
