Terming the rapidly growing illegal colonies across the country as a problem for urban development, the Supreme Court said that the state governments will have to make a comprehensive action plan to check these illegal settlements. The Supreme Court observed that illegal colonies growing like mushrooms in all these cities of the country pose difficulties in urban development. In such a situation, the state governments will have to take steps on this issue.


As indicated by the report of information office PTI, a seat of Justices L Nageswara Rao and Justices BR Gavai designated senior supporter Gopal Sankaranarayanan as amicus curiae on the issue. The Supreme Court requested that Gopal Sankaranarayanan make sense of what steps the public authority can take to actually look at unlawful states.


The seat of the Supreme Court said that objections are being gotten about the development of unlawful settlements like mushrooms in every one of the urban communities of the country. We have seen serious floods in Hyderabad and Kerala because of the sporadic and unlawful settlement of provinces. State legislatures should make a move to prevent unlawful settlements from thriving. Alongside this, the Supreme Court coordinated that every one of the records ought to be stored with the amicus curiae. Nyaya Mitra Gopal Sankaranarayanan will give his ideas in about fourteen days.
