The Supreme Court observed that illegal colonies growing like mushrooms in all these cities of the country pose difficulties in urban development. In such a situation, the state governments will have to take steps on this issue.

As indicated by the report of information office PTI, a seat of Justices L Nageswara Rao and Justices BR Gavai designated senior supporter Gopal Sankaranarayanan as amicus curiae on the issue. The Supreme Court requested that Gopal Sankaranarayanan make sense of what steps the public authority can take to actually look at unlawful states.

The seat of the Supreme Court said that objections are being gotten about the development of unlawful settlements like mushrooms in every one of the urban communities of the country.
