Association Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday supported the continuation of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from 2025 to 26 with a spending plan of Rs 5,911 crore. In this, Rs 3,700 crore will be spent by the focal government while Rs 2,211 crore will be spent by the state legislatures.

Constantly 2025-26, Rs 5,911 crore will be spent on this plan, of which Rs 3,700 crore will be spent by the Center and Rs 2,211 crore will be spent by the states.
Through this plan 2.78 lakh provincial nearby bodies will be assisted with meeting the economical improvement target. Prior 1.36 crore individuals were prepared under this plan. In future, 1.65 crore individuals will be prepared under this. As indicated by the data shared by PIB, need will be given to subjects of public significance under this plan.
There will be accentuation on destitution free and expanded business in towns, sound towns, kid well disposed towns, water satisfactory towns, spotless and green towns, independent framework in the town, socially secure towns, towns with great administration. The public authority accepts that fortifying Panchayats will advance correspondence and comprehensiveness alongside civil rights and monetary improvement of the local area. This plan will fortify Gram Sabhas to work as viable organizations.
