At the same time, a survey revealed that 9 out of 10 people of the country believe that even when wearing masks was mandatory, most people in their area, city or district did not wear masks or used them incorrectly.
When people were questioned about wearing masks, 57 percent of the people said that people used to wear masks, but it was just a joke. No one was wearing a mask properly. At the same time, 22 percent people believed that people had masks, but they did not wear them and 11 percent people said that people did not have masks. Meanwhile, only 7 percent of the people admitted that the people of their area had followed the requirement of wearing masks properly.
This survey was conducted with 30,000 people from 349 districts of India. When they were asked about following the rules of masks, the answer of 7 percent of the people was that no one followed the rules. At the same time, 36 percent believed that 30 percent people followed the rules. At the same time, 35 percent of the people said that between 30 and 60 percent people followed the rules related to masks. About 10 percent people said that 60 to 90 percent people followed the rules and 6 percent people believe that more than 90 percent people are wearing masks.

On asking people about the type of masks worn by people in their locality, city or district, it came to light that 2 out of 3 people i.e. about 62 percent people wear masks made of cloth. This mask provides protection only at a limited level. Thus, 20 percent of those wearing surgical masks and 6 percent of those wearing N-95, KN-95, or W 95 masks. Now the daily cases of Covid have come down to less than 1000 across the country. Due to this, Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana and Telangana have withdrawn the mandatory wearing of masks from this month.

In such a situation, this survey shows that people in the country have not taken the necessity of masks seriously. Whereas in European countries, cases of infection have started increasing there as soon as the mask requirement ends in February.
